MTSS Behavior Expectations

Our school wide expectations are the 3Rs.

Respectful

Virtual Classroom Meetings:

  • Have your microphone on mute.
    • Background noise may distract us from learning.
  • Take turns speaking (use the chat feature to ask questions or share ideas about learning or raise your hand).
  • Respect others' cultures, opinions, and ideas.
  • Use kind words and expressions.
    • Be patient and understanding.
  • Find a space where you will not be disturbed or disturb others.

Independent Learning

  • Keep volume low (and/or use headphones).
  • Schedule time to share devices with others if necessary.
  • Find a space where you will not be disturbed or disturb others.

Self-Care:

  • Positive self-talk.
  • Do your best at all times.
  • Ask questions.

Responsible:

Virtual Classroom Meetings:

  • Use a schedule or calendar to help you remember when to log in for your class meetings.
  • Keep eyes and ears on the teacher/task/activity.
    • Please do not use chat to have conversations with your friends.
  • Protect your password.
  • Take care of materials (computer/tablet, books, math tools, games, etc...)
    • Keep materials safe from food and spills.

Independent Learning:

  • Keep eyes and ears on the task/activity.
  • Protect your password.
  • Access only school approved websites.
  • Complete your assignments on time.
  • Take care of materials (computer/tablet, books, math tools, games, etc...)

Self-Care

  • Take breaks then return to your schedule.
  • Ask for help if you need it.

Ready to learn:

  • Have all materials you may need ready.
    • Paper, pencil, white board, etc.
  • Make sure your device is charged.
  • Log in 5 minutes early.

Independent Learning:

  • Follow your schedule and know what needs to be completed.
    • Check your schoology courses and email daily.
  • Make sure your devide is charged.

Self-Care:

  • Take breaks and use calming strategies to get ready to learn.
  • Surround yourself in happiness!
    • Decorate your learning space.

Staff Supports:

  • Review expectations with students and families.
  • Monitor student participation and attendance.
  • Provide options for virtual learning.

Independent Learning:

  • Monitor student work and participation.
  • Schedule time to conference with students or respond to questions.
  • Provide families with information for online learning success.
  • Share examples for routines.

Self-Care:

  • Schedule in breaks.
  • Check in with students.
  • Our school counselor is available to meet with students.
